November 21, Brent McKinney teaching on having freedom in stress. November 28, Charlie Ridenour teaching on the results of the Cross in our lives. ANGEL TREE SERVICE PROJECT: On Nov. 21 after class, we’ll need people to stick around to get all the Angel Tree decorations out on put on display. Vanessa Price and Ryan Bascue will be helping get organized, but we’ll need about a lot of people for 45 minutes.

Super Early-Bird sign-ups have ended, and you can check the list (which was e-mailed on Friday or posted in the Dungeon to make sure you’re on it). We will have to establish a waiting list, and the price is now $145. Trip dates for Pine Cove Shores: January 14-16, 2011. Sign up sheets are available in the Dungeon as are the information sheets that contain details on departures, packing, etc.

SIGN UPS CONTINUE TODAY for the 17th Annual CBC Christmas Banquet. This year’s banquet is on Sunday night, December 12, from 5—7:13PM, in the CBC Auditorium!!! Get more info on the sign up sheet and make sure to get your spot reserved so we can have enough tables, food, etc. for everyone!

Service Opportunities:

The loose-change worship offering continues each week. Since last May, we’ve written two checks of over $500 to the Somaly Mam Foundation (http://www.somaly.org) and WE’LL BE WRITING ANOTHER CHECK ASAP and we’re HALFWAY TO OUR 4th CHECK!!!! Thank you so much for your generosity to this cause!

Waterisbasic.org: On the last Sunday of every month this school year, we’re asking everyone to make a $5 donation in Sunday School as an act of worship. AFTER TWO MONTHS, WE HAVE CLOSE TO $250 so far…and SUNDAY November 28 will be our next offering! We’ll also be announcing a SPECIAL DECEMBER GIVING OPPORTUNITY—GIVE A WELL FOR CHRISTMAS—on the 21st. More details to follow!

*Pray for the children we support, Jhojan in Columbia (we’ll read a letter from him on Nov. 21) and Guerson & Kerlande in Haiti. If you’d like to write letters to any of them, give them to Brent anytime (handwritten are best and please print).

We have opportunities to serve in our Teen MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) ministry by planning/preparing dinners (and eating them with the members) and/or collecting needed baby items for the Teen Mops Store. Discussion Starter: On a sheet of scrap paper, write down three things that you truly WORRY actually COULD happen to you (for example, not getting into your first choice college, or not being able to pay for car repairs or failing a class). Why do these things cause you to get stressed? What are some ways you deal with stress? How do these help? What are practical steps you can take to deal with/avoid stress?
